Get Involved

The work of artists and curators is at the centre stage of Privacytopia. We encourage artists – experienced or not in the subjects of datafication – to submit their work. To do so, check the Open Calls page. 

The invited curator for Privacytopia 2024 in Ghent is Régine Debatty. She’s overlooking the thematic approaches and shows. 

We are looking for local cultural partners that wish to enrich the program of Privacytopia withdiverse perspectives, methods, and artistic research. It could take the form of an exhibition, workshop, symposium, etc. 

We are looking for a wide range of local partners such as art spaces, museums, galleries, theatres, collectives, civil society organisations (NGO’s, start-ups, educational institutions, municipalities, and public sector organisations.

Are you a teacher who wishes to make young people more aware on the consequences of datafication on privacy, surveillance, etc.? We have you covered. Privacytopia organizes customized visits that fit in the class’s curriculum.  

Each year, the festival travels to a different European city. Privacytopia closely collaborates with the hosting city to present a programme of arts exhibitions, theatre, music, design, talks, and research related to data usage, privacy, surveillance. If you represent a city or are part of the cultural department and would like to host Privacytopia in your city, don’t hesitate to contact us.
