How do you keep privacy but also debates and critique alive when you live in countries where surveillance reigns? One clear example is China of course. But how about Israel and Palestine? How about Egypt? Or Russia? How do artists, journalists, activists and other citizens regain digital agency there? What form can critique take online?

And if several countries, even European ones, can be accused of verging into authoritarianism, could an artificial intelligence government make a better job at governing than humans?
