The Identity Thieves

The Identity Thieves are individuals and organisations who have devised all sorts of tactics, hacks and stratagems to conceal who they are. They hide their identity behind a forged one, adopt shared pseudonyms or revolt against having their own individuality being typecast and streamlined. By doing so, they escape measurement and attribution but they also build a symbolic power that challenges, muddles and complicates traditional forms of political and aesthetic representation.
